GB2 by Roberto Alencar Tussa: Build Your No-Gi Game
This week's Back Mount techniques are part of Week 12 of the GB2 No-Gi module with Prof. Roberto "Tussa" Alencar.
Have you checked out the GB Online Instagram account?
In our first video, we see Prof. Tussa has taken the Back Mount position on his opponent and is hand fighting and looking to secure a rear-naked choke RNC. The RNC is far away from the most successful submission in MMA and is right at the top in submission grappling. It is truly the King of Submissions!
Video1 Technique 68 - Class 12A: Seatbelt to RNC
Important detail: When Prof. Tussa is ready to choke, he quickly knocks his opponent's defensive hand away and slides his choking arm under the opponent's chin. Prof. Tussa uses either of 2 variations of the RNC grip to get the tap.
Starting in the same position as Video 1, Prof. Tussa has lost the bottom hook on his rear mount, and the opponent is beginning his escape. Prof. Tussa identifies the changing situation and transitions to an arm triangle.
